Dominion Seven is a Lynchburg, Virginia architecture firm built around a collaborative team of architects and design professionals.     Jason Burger is a Managing Partner and Architect at Dominion Seven Architects. A 2004 graduate of Virginia Tech’s architecture program, Jason brings more than two decades of experience in architectural design, project management, and Building Information Modeling. He is known for practical problem-solving and for using technology to improve design communication, coordination, and project delivery. A native of Forest, Virginia, Jason remains closely connected to the Lynchburg and Central Virginia communities Dominion Seven serves.

    Jacob Caldwell is a Managing Partner and Architect at Dominion Seven Architects. Licensed in Virginia since 2010 and NCARB certified, Jacob brings a thoughtful, technically grounded approach to each project. His Fear Free certification helps inform Dominion Seven’s design of animal care environments that consider the physical and emotional well-being of animals, staff, and visitors. Jacob values close collaboration with clients and practical design solutions tailored to the needs of each project.

    Nicholas Van de Meulebroecke is an Architect at Dominion Seven Architects. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2023 and became a licensed architect in Virginia in 2026. His academic experience included participation in the Solar Decathlon and a thesis exploring the relationships among architecture, acoustics, music theory, and phenomenology. Nicholas brings a thoughtful, technically engaged approach to design, construction documentation, and project coordination.

    Irving Bravo is an Architectural Designer at Dominion Seven Architects. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Maryland in 2024 and joined Dominion Seven in 2026. While at Maryland, Irving co-founded Latinx Architects United, the university’s first Latino-focused architecture student organization, and served as its president. He is working toward architectural licensure and brings curiosity, cultural awareness, and a community-centered perspective to the firm’s design and documentation work.

    Matt Cocker is an Architectural Technician at Dominion Seven Architects. After graduating from SVCC, he studied Electrical Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University and was selected for an electrical maintenance apprenticeship at Newport News Shipbuilding. That technical background informs his careful, methodical approach to construction documents and project graphics. Matt supports a wide variety of project types and takes pride in producing clear, accurate work that helps clients, consultants, and contractors understand the design.

    Blair Smith is Partner Emeritus and an Architect at Dominion Seven Architects. He joined the firm’s predecessor in 1989 and helped shape the practice through decades of design leadership, client service, and mentorship. Blair remains involved with select projects, contributing extensive experience and an enduring appreciation for hand drawing and the creative design process. His knowledge of the firm, its clients, and the Central Virginia community continues to be a valued resource for the team.
