Blair Smith joined the predecessor firm to Dominion Seven Architects in a full-time capacity in 1989. Today, Blair continues to be involved in the majority of the firm’s projects in some capacity. He still enjoys the creative process of design and can often be found drawing by hand.

Jason, an enthusiastic problem solver, graduated from the nation’s number-one-ranked school of architecture and design (Virginia Tech) in 2004. He adds depth to the team with his project management experience and expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. He helps keep the company current with technology and can often be found flying the office drone.

Jacob became a licensed Architect in Virginia in 2010 and holds a National Council of Architectural Boards (NCARB) Certificate. Jacob is also Fear Free Certified. Fear Free is a program that ensures that both an animal’s physical needs and emotional well-being is met during their stay at a shelter.

Nicholas graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2023. While at Virginia Tech he was involved with the Solar Decathlon and Marching Virginians. In his final year, his thesis was entitled “Harmonics: Combining Music and Architecture in A Rural and Urban Landscape” and covered acoustics, music theory vs. architectural theory, and phenomenology.

After graduating from SVCC, Matt attended Old Dominion University to study Electrical Engineering Technology. While at ODU, he was accepted into the electrical maintenance apprenticeship at Newport News Shipbuilding. Matt enjoys the variety of projects at the firm and is privileged to work on and take care in providing our clients with neat and accurate construction documents, marketing plans, or whatever is requested.
