Lynchburg Redevelopment & Housing Authority Headquarters

Dominion Seven has completed numerous projects of varying sizes for the Lynchburg Redevelopment & Housing Authority over the past three decades. These projects range from a small retaining wall repair to the renovation of a 6-story historic building for their offices in the early 2000s. Our latest project involves relocating their offices from the historic building downtown to a smaller, former medical facility located in the mid-town section of the City.

The original building was constructed in the early 1980s and was home to a physical therapist's office for many years. After sitting vacant for several years, the Lynchburg Redevelopment & Housing Authority (LRHA) purchased the building in hopes of renovating it for their new home. Dominion Seven was happy to work with the client again, on a second renovation project for their offices. While the office layout inside remained much the same, windows and doors were replaced, along with the roof. The most dramatic transformation was the removal of the 1,950-gallon hot tub.

The floor was filled and will be the new Conference Room / Boardroom for the office. Existing rear decks were also replaced, as they had fallen into disrepair during the years of vacancy, offering outdoor access from staff officers to take in the forest and stream views of the rear of the property.
